In this essay I will show a comparative study of the two views of American family life as shown in the two television series ‘The Simpsons ‘and ‘The Waltons”.

the family lifestyle is totally disastrous and it represents a failure in a family. With such a family the country would not be prosperous and there would not only be an economic collapse but also social be de-generation
In spite of all the positive points of the Waltons, I prefer the Simpson family as they seem more normal and realistic, probably because of their dysfunctional nature, which conforms to the viewer’s opinion of families.
