On the other hands, Tacitus thought the Roman Empire would be defeated by the Britain soon because Romana’s greed and tyranny already forced Britons have nothing to lose, also the Romanas did not have a strong army to defend them. In conclusion, Aelius and Tacitus had totally reverse standpoint because they belonged different tribes. If I lived in Pax Romana, I would agree with Aelius, but I would have sympathy for Britons.
