Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence encompasses a vision that not only limits the freedom and progress of this nation’s people of color; it also, promotes the idea of White Nationalism. Jefferson and the other English forefathers, not liking the feel of oppression, successfully accomplished what the indigenous people of this country and the victims of the African Holocaust could not and that is survive and prosper. Jefferson, however, did this at the cost of other human lives. This declaration doesn’t make a statement about sovereignty, it defines hypocrisy. The Declaration of Independence helped propel centuries of propaganda and hollow ideals.
