Maybe he was seeing him-self young again while picturing his son.
This picture is a sign of Rembrandt spiritual rebirth to me. I need to say more I look at that picture; more I want to look at it. The enigmatic force just grasps my attention and I fall in love with Rembrandt perfect creature.
