There is no doubt in my mind that Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird is a moving story of racial injustice in the South as well as a touching coming-of-age story. I believe the courtroom scene demonstrates the depth of the racial discrimination in the area, stirring the consciences of all readers. Only the most simple-minded of readers can fail to be affected by the adventures of Scout and Jem.
