As you can see, the novel written by Harper Lee is boiling over with examples of racism. Many racist actions lead up to the trial, actually encompass the trial, and these same actions are seen after the trial. Through the novel, she shows how foolish racism was at that time. At the same time, she shows that it was also a serious problem.
