“Two Kinds” As I read over the short story “Two Kinds”, I see a piece that is rich in conflict and drama. Ni Kan was a child raised in America by her mother who had lost everything in China but looked for hope in America. After the piano was abandoned for years upon years, she passed it on to Ni Kan to show that there are no longer any hard feelings about that event that happened so long ago. Just like that the burden was released and their tension was no longer existent, the conflict was resolved.
