Hazel and the other rabbits learn many things from Cowslip’s warren and Efrafa that help them to strengthen their own warren. Even though Cowslip’s warren and Efrafa are far from perfect, Hazel is able to find the good in them and use it to his advantage. Since Hazel is able to borrow ideas from other warrens and learn from their mistakes, he is able to make Watership Down a successful and powerful warren.
