…showed last 75 words of 640 total…only has animals for friends, and she loves them a lot. If she had told the hunter where the heron was , she would probably feel as though she was betraying the birds friendship besides killing him.
To conclude I can say that Jewett’s ‘A White Heron’ is a good story and helps us to understand how a nine year old girl behave in such circumstances and in my opinion she made a sensible choice.
