Winston Churchill was a distinguished English soldier, statesman, author, historian, and
artist. However, most people know him as the Prime Minister of England during the
Second World War. It was under his great leadership that England resisted the German
domination of Europe. In this paper I will look at how some of his personal beliefs
affected the choices that he made.

Conservative to a Liberal and then back to a Conservative. When asked why he even
left the Conservative Party in the first place, he answered that he did not leave the
Conservative Party or his principles. Rather, the Conservative Party deserted its principles
and left him. Although I don’t agree with all of his beliefs, I respect his ethics. He was
truly a man of great values and of great value to the world.
