along with many more repugnant actions of the body are not problems fixed with one gesture. From all my encounters with people on the streets of New York, I gained a sense that there is a lack of self-respect among the citizens of the vast metropolis. One hand signal will not change everything, but it might help to bring courtesy back to drivers, and that in turn will help all humanity to grow and prosper.
