I thought that the most important part of the story happened when Gurov went out looking for Anna at the theater. To me the peak of the story happened when Gurov wen to the theater and saw her walking in with her husband. Only because having read the beginning of the story, and knowing how they were like when they were together, made the reader wonder what kind of reaction was going to take place. …showed first 75 words of 588 total…

…showed last 75 words of 588 total…ll never meet again”. And also because the author made Gurov out to be a playboy who didn’t really need a single female. In fact he was even getting bored of her when they were together. Maybe he didn’t know what he had till he lost it? But who’s to say that if they get together they wouldn’t do the same thing to each other as they did to their spouses?
