Introduction:
The purpose of this lab was to get used to working with a very valuable tool in the scientific world; the microscope. During which, everyone within the class learned how to operate a microscope.
Materials:
Light microscope Three pieces of thread
Lens paper A strand of hair
Prepared microscope slide An “e” from the newspaper
Clean microscope slide Transparent metric ruler

difference could be seen. The strand of hair was only one piece, and that was very apparent, while the thread was several pieces put together. There was a great difference in thickness as well. When looking at a thread and a hair with the naked eye, this great difference can not be seen, but when magnified it is quite obvious.
