When I first heard Thoreau¹s claim, "That government is best which governs least", I had to listen to it several times in order to fully comprehend what he meant. I believe that he meant that the best thing a government can do is let the people decide how to run their own society, to a certain extent, of course, and I agree with his statement. I for one am cautious of the government. Maybe

many people believe in Thoreau¹s theory, but aren¹t quite sure on how to approach it. The government is a tricky subject to deal with. If it were to change to become more for the people, like I think that it should be, it would take a lot more than just one person writing about what could be. It would take a whole nation to decide to make a change on what will be.
