Johann Sebastien Bach Johann Sebastien Bach was born in Eisenach on March 21, 1685 and died and Leipzig on July 28 1750 at age 65. He was the youngest son of Johann Ambrosius Bach, a town musician, from whom he probably learnt the violin and the rudiments of musical theory. I found this issue particularly bothersome as I wanted to have the Baroque character yet the pieces seemed so boring without expression and dynamic. I ended up using quite a bit of dynamic in the prelude where it seemed appropriate and a lot of phrasing and balance in the fugue to bring out the theme.
