History: The Frisby has a lot of different histories which mean there are a lot of potential inventors. Some people say that the Frisbee came from being tossed from college students after eating a pie from the "Frisbee Baking Company". Yale students say that a under graduate Elihu Frisbee grabbed a collection tray and threw it out the window.

In 1967, high school students in Maplewood, New Jersey, invented Ultimate Frisbee, a recognized sport that is a cross between football, soccer and basketball. Ten years later, a form of Frisbee golf was introduced, complete with professional playing courses and associations.
