Whilst the Tent Embassy in itself achieved no actual benefits for the Aborigines, the publicity received was enough to spur change. In summation, evidently, year by year, the roles of the indigenous people within Australia and greatly changed, and events of public protest such as the Freedom Rides, Tent Embassy and the 1967 success have all contributed to the equality and freedom which indigenous people now experience and take for granted.
